Explain an idea or theme of the book. Explain its importance to the book and why it is meaningful.

A theme in John Greene's book tends to be the same. His books are all a metaphor. In the book, Paper Towns, its refers to the village in Orlando, Florida as being a papertown. I haven't gotten far enough into the book to know the bigger meaning to it. Sorry.

Jacques Essay

"All the world's a stage, and the men and women are merely players." Line 143-144, Jacques.
When Jacques was saying his precise speech, he was not the most sober man in the Forest of Arden.  He is a very depressing man and is not happy about becoming old.  Jacques's line can be described literally and figuratively.
Jacques's intoxicated quote can be taken literally.  There is only one stage in the big room you are put into. All of a sudden you here the music playing and out come the actors and actresses all dressed up in their village attire.  The world is the stage and without it the actors and actresses would have no where to go.  For example, Rosalind and Celia are not real people, they are just pursued through costumes and accents by real people.
Jacques's quote can also be taken figuratively. There are seven stages in this world.  In stage one, you are an infant that pukes and whimpers in the nurse's arms.  In stage two, he's the whining school boy. Next, he becomes a liver, huffing and puffing like a furnace. Then, he is a soldier. In act five, he is a judge with a nice fat belly from all the bribes he has taken. In act six, the curtain rises on thr skinny old man in his slippers. Finally, in the seventh act, is when the hero enters his second childhood.

Examine a character's behavior, actions, or values. Would you have done the same thing?

The character in Heaven Is For Real that I am going to examine is Colton.  When he was four years old, he had his appendix burst.  Therefore, he had to go to the hospital and have surgeries to fix it.  While at the hospital he had gone to Heaven and back.  He had shared the stories of Heaven with his father and mother a while after the surgery.  Then, his parents took the information and turned it into a book.
If I was Colton, I would have done the same thing.  He waited awhile to finally tell about his time in Heaven, he waited until the heated moments cooled down.  He expressed his times when something that was related happened.  For example, Todd and Sonja (Colton's mother and father) were talking about Todd"s grandfather, otherwise known as Pop.  Colton said that he knows Pop, and that he stayed with him in heaven.  Sooner or later, Todd showed Colton a picture of Pop a couple days before he died and when he was younger.  Colton hadn't recognized Pop as an older gentleman.
In conclusion, yes. I would follow in Cotlon's footsteps on this one.
